PERFECT CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES FOR SANTA!!!

Hi everyone!!!!!  ONLY 4 MORE DAYSSSSS OMG!!! As you can see, I am not excited for Christmas at all. (: This post is one of my all time favorite sugar cookie recipes and they are literally so delicious.  I am eating one while I type.  LOL I love that when they bake, they don't spread and the icing is so simple yet so yummy. Let's get started! You will need: ~1 cup of butter softened ~1 cup of white sugar ~1 teaspoon vanilla extract ~1/4 teaspoon almond extract ~1 egg ~2 teaspoons baking powder ~3 cups of flour + more for when you roll out the dough ~powdered sugar ~milk (This recipe yields approximately 30 cookies-that's how many I made-but feel free to double if need be!) Well hello again!!!  So I have the easiest recipe for you today.  This is such a delicious little treat that I realllllly want to share.  :D First of all, let's go over what ingredients you'll need! **Disclaimer:  I did not come up with this recipe.  I did tweak it a little bit but I am in no way claiming this as my recipe.  Thanks again Pinterest!** 1 & 1/8 cup flour (could definitely use coconut flour here) 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons shortening 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I used canola) 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar (mine was organic) 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons light brown sugar 1 & 1/2 non dairy milk (I used almond) 3/4 teaspoon vanilla approx. 1 cup chocolate chips (I used one bar of dark chocolate) First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Hey guys!!  Hope December is treating you well. (:  I have decided to put up another cookie recipe for you since it is the holidays and if you wanted to make a fancier cookie for that one party that you are going to or for a gift for someone, these will definitely be a hit.  This recipe is vegan but you most definitely do not have to make them vegan.  The choice is yours!!!  Tyler and I are trying to watch what we eat, but do not feel like cutting out sweets, so we are taking the sweets that we like and are turning them into healthier versions.
