DEALING WITH FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL ANXIETY
Hi everyone!!! I hope you all have had a lovely week and weekend. Today is Sunday...my favorite day. (: Probably because it is my only day off now. LOL.
Todays post is going to be a bit of chit chat in regards to dealing with anxiety from the start of school. I just started school myself! I go three days a week for 10 hours each day and every other day I go to work for 8 with only one day off. So yeah I am dealing with a lot of emotions right now and I am sure that a lot of you out there are doing the same. For me I just keep telling myself, "It is only for like 6 months. I can do this."
Yes it's hard and yes it's stressful and scary but this only lasts for such a short amount of time in your life. Wether it be gradeschool, highschool or college. You get to meet so many amazing people and you learn so much. Just take deep breaths and know that you will be amazing.
I like to use a calendar or agenda and count down the days! I loooove to count down the days til any of the major holidays that I like, Halloween, Thanksgiving etc and even birthdays. I am going to a beauty school and we talk a lot about wellness. It is so important that you enjoy the time that you are given and the life that you have. If we constantly stress and worry all the time, when is there time to smile and laugh and be happy?
You know the phrase, "time flies when you're having fun!" ? Well I thoroughly believe that. Just make school fun! Enjoy the little things and stay positive. Figure out what things you can do for yourself to keep your anxiety at a minimum. Write yourself little positive notes or have little pictures on your phone that make you smile or make sure you always have someone to call for when you're feeling down who will be there to comfort you. Start a blog! Bake or go on Pinterest. Whatever it is, make sure you feel good after doing it.
I'm not sure if any of this even makes sense or if any of you will even take it with you but just know that there are a lot of us out there that have anxiety. It can be major or minor, it doesn't matter. All I can say is that I know I have a crazy schedule and I don't get much time to myself or time with Tyler but it's only for such a short time and when it's all over and done with, I am going to feel amazing and accomplished. Just push through and keep a smile on your face guys!
I love you all!
xoxo
