CURRENT READINGS...

Hey guys!  Today is a little bit of a different post...but lately I have been SO into reading.  Like so into it to the point where when I finish a novel, I immediately pick up another one to start.  It's really fun to read different genres and to find authors or styles that I really enjoy.

Here are my current reads!

This book is such an inspirational read.  I loved it because at the time that I read it, I was feeling very discouraged and down about myself.  This book is definitely more of a self-help book.  Highly recommend because Brené Brown is a great speaker/writer.

OMG this book.  Ok first of all I honestly bought this book because of the cover...lol and also the fact that it is about Zelda Fitzgerald so I had to have it.  It was such an emotional rollercoaster that was written with such detail.  I honestly felt like I was right there inside the book watching it.

I bought this book in Oregon!  One of my favorite bloggers recommending this story.  It focuses on a young girl with anxiety who falls in love and a crazy family that work through their issues.  This was definitely a book I did not want to put down.  I also loved that it was an easy shorter read.

I was really hoping that this book was gonna be super funny.  Unfortunately it was not as funny as I wanted it to be.  There definitely were some hilarious moments though!  It's all about her 'one night stand' experiences with lots of gruesome detail.  If you are not into dirty/sexy humor...you probably won't like this book.

I lovvved this novel.  I love Zoe already and had bought her first book along time ago and never really read it.  Again, another book I did not want to put down.  This book reminded me a little of 'Finding Audrey' in the sense that it is also about a young girl with severe anxiety who falls in love.  It has a really great story line with lots of emotion and she actually wrote 3 books after this one I think...so I can't wait to read those!

I mean I had to have this book!  1. because the writer has the same name as me and 2. because it's all about beauty and skincare!  As some of you may know, I am a skincare specialist or esthetician and I love learning new things and hearing about the newest beauty craze.  This novel is all about Korean beauty/skincare and let me tell you how interesting it was to read about a different culture and how they define 'beauty'.

I hope some of you found this post inspirational to grab a book wether it's from the library or a bookstore and let your mind wander.  As a society I feel as though we are always having our nose deep into our phones and I feel like we need to get back to reading.  There are endless options out there to choose from so I challenge you to read a book this month!
I really do hate when people say 'oh I never have any time to read'...and believe me, I was one of those.  Honestly you just have to make time!  Wether it's 20-30 minutes before bed or taking a nice relaxing bath with a book or on your lunch break while you eat your sandwich.  We can all make time to give our brains a rest because we deserve it!

What are some of your favorite books?  Any recommendations?
